As someone who makes his living in the Design arena, it pains me sometimes to promote a piece of work that is not up to my standards*, but as there is nothing else like this online, it’s worth pointing you to the flash based wine region maps that have been put together by Kobrand.

* The type treatments are small and poor quality, you can’t click on the countries, and aspects of flash that would have made the whole experience better (zooming, transitions, etc.) were not used. If only Google Maps would take a swing at this…sigh.
