Vinography Images: Vineyard One

Vineyard One

“There’s always a period of adjustment to any new shooting location. It takes me a little bit of time to really see the vineyard, sometimes minutes, sometimes days. And then there’s the light. This image was made on my first day of shooting in the vineyard. I arrived in the late afternoon just as the light was about to slip behind the mountain and had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to shoot. Finally, though, I noticed the shadows on the road, and had time for just a single photo before the mountain cast a shadow over the valley. A moment is enough when everything comes together.” — Michael Regnier
