If I had some extra time in my day, I’d probably spend it doing all the things that are on my “get around to it” list. But then if I had some extra extra time in the day, I’d spend it reading books. And many of the books in the pile of “to read” these days are wine books. There are a lot of them out there, and a lot of great ones at that.
For anyone who is interested in books on wine, there are few better places to be than the Wine Book Festival hosted by the Napa Valley Wine Library Association. This event takes place on February 20th at the St. Helena Public Library, and will feature an exhibit on all the wine books published in 2014, a raffle, and then a talk by yours truly about my book, The Essence of Wine..
I’ll be talking about how I fell in love with wine, how tasters begin and advance on their journeys to appreciating wine, and my own journey to becoming a journalist and self publishing my book with help from Kickstarter.
It also happens early enough that you can swing by, check out the talk, buy a copy of my book, get it signed, and then still have time to go out on the town!
Hope to see you there!
