An ancient boulder marks a vista looking over vineyards with their (very necessary) wind breaks at Man o’War vineyards on Waiheke Island in New Zealand. Just across from the city of Auckland in the Hauraki Gulf, the island is a favorite weekend and holiday spot for locals, the luckiest of whom might own a small beach house known as a “batch.” Home to around 30 wineries, the island has also become a favorite wine-tasting destination for tourists and locals alike.
