Small villages and old vines. That’s pretty much all you’re going to find when you’re exploring the crus of Beaujolais. This is a view from one of the most famous of them all, Moulin-à-Vent, looking down towards the village of La Chapelle-de-Guinchay and the church that lends the town its name. In the foreground are the vines of the Moulin-à-Vent lieu-dit—old Gamay still waiting for spring to warm up a bit so they can begin their next cycle of growth.
