Spring flowers begin to emerge from the soil under young vines in the Languedoc region of France. As you can see from the black tube stretching along the trellis, the Languedoc is historically one of the few regions of France where irrigation of vines is de-rigueur. The typical requirement for dry-farming is crumbling bit-by-bit in the face of climate change.
