We got a bit of special treatment at @tanziescafe this past weekend thanks to having @chezpim as a dining companion. It was one helluva weekend brunch. I’d highly recommend their prix fixe meal. Book ahead for sure.

Many have considered Pinot Noir to be New Zealand’s next big thing. But I’m here to say that Chardonnay, so far, has it beat. This was a very impressive wine. On the lighter shade of Cerasuolo, and all flinty, salty, citrus, and berry. Definitely modern in its reductive styling but flipping delicious. I tried this bottle on release and it was excellent. Now? It’s f*cking phenomenal. This is not your average CA rosé. It’s reduced, saline, umami, herbal, floral, berry and citrus deliciousness with a verve that makes you want to dance around like a muppet.
