At this point I’m a bit of a broken record on the value represented by aged German Riesling, but I don’t care. There are few wines that can compete with the amount of pleasure per dollar on the planet. For thirty bucks you get a wine that gets better for 20 years and will be delicious anytime in that period. And among my very favorites are anything made by @weingut.doennhoff.

I’ll come clean. I cooked with this wine. Not because it wasn’t any good, but because it was delicious. Made an acqua pazzo for some fish with half the bottle and then drank the other half with dinner and it was glorious.
