Vinography and Manresa Present The ‘Drink Small’ Wine Dinner

Vinography, in conjunction with Manresa Restaurant, is proud to announce The “Drink Small” Wine Dinner, on Thursday, September 22, 2005.

Following on the success of the first such dinner, I happily announce the second Vinography wine dinner at Manresa Restaurant in Los Gatos. Please join me for an evening of phenomenal food, excellent wines, and of course, stories about both centering on the theme “Drink Small.”

For this dinner I have selected several small production wines from some of California’s best boutique producers and have collaborated with Chef David Kinch to develop a special five-course menu to pair with the wines. As usual, I will be on hand to share stories about the wines and the folks that make them and you will be encouraged to share your own stories as well.

For those of you who don’t know, Manresa presents the refined Mediterranean fusion cuisine of Chef David Kinch. Manresa is currently #38 on the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants as published by Restaurant Magazine. For more information on the restaurant and Chef David Kinch, please see the Manresa web site.

This announcement precedes the general public announcement of the dinner, to give preference to Vinography readers who wish to attend. If you’d like to come, please make your reservations early. The last dinner sold out quickly.

Vinography and Manresa present: The “Drink Small” Wine Dinner, September 22, 2005.

Small is beautiful, so they say, and there may be no place where that is more true than the world of wine and food. Some flavors are only possible at the scale of one hand, one vine, one plant at a time. The directness and vividness of experience that is possible through artisanal ingredients and products is a luxury and a privilege that should be celebrated.

Please join us on the first day of Autumn for a celebration of smallness. Alder Yarrow, founder and editor of Vinography.Com, has selected a series of micro – production, hand-crafted wines from Northern California to pair with a custom five course menu highlighting some of the artisanal ingredients featured in Chef David Kinch’s cuisine.

The “Drink Small” Wine Dinner is $175 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Limited seating at 6:30 p.m. For reservations call 408-354-4330 or visit the Manresa web site.
