The massif of Mont Granier rises high above the Savoie appellation of Les Abymes and the vineyards of Domaine des Tres Lunes, which are planted in the limestone that has tumbled off Mont Granier over the years in several cataclysmic rockfalls and landslides. In these calcareous soils you will find the fairly rare grape Jacquère, which makes beautifully stony, sometimes saline, crunchy white wines.
