Mist hangs in the hills above vineyards approaching harvest in the St. Helena AVA of Napa Valley. After a cooler-than-usual summer, recent heat waves have helped grapes along their ripening curve towards veraison on the North Coast, which means that some people are staring down the prospect of harvest within a few short weeks.
